Jasmine plants are an exquisite evergreen, climbing shrub or vine, worldwide known for its tropical looks and enticing scent produced by its waxy, creamy and white flowers. Jasmine plants are not particularly difficult to care for and they are easily grown both outdoors as a climbing vine around fences, balconies and as bushes or in pots for indoor enjoyment. However, jasmine does require a fair bit of maintenance and attention throughout the year with proper pruning, watering and feeding techniques. Jasmine plants are famous for the bright and deep green foliage, as well as, for those exquisite flowers that they produce, if well taken care of, by providing well drained soil, regular watering regimen and abundant sunlight. As we have explained already in other posts, we know that, jasmine does prefer full sun to partial shade light regimen, hence our jasmine pant planting position should be oriented in a warm, humid and partial shade areas. Whilst jasmine plants are generally speaking, pretty healthy to maintain, they are still quite susceptible to pests and diseases (such as, mealybugs, whiteflies, aphids and fungi), especially, if the points above are not properly implemented, for which, sometimes, as a result, the leaves in our jasmine plant will turn brown.
